Donate to our Students and Program at the Holidays
Letters to Santa go quickly! Request a letter(s) from us in late November/early
December to purchase, wrap and deliver a gift(s) for a child at the Holiday time.
Gifts should be delivered to the center by Saturday, December 12th.
Donate new hats and gloves sets. Better yet, organize a drive at work where colleagues
can also contribute. All students receive a new set of gloves and a hat/scarf to
match at the holidays.
Small items are always needed for our CGTP Store. At holiday time, student use their
accumulated points to purchase holiday gifts for their loved ones.
Collect gently used or new coats for children sizes 6 on up. Free coats are also
available to our students at holiday time.
Purchase or organize a book drive of new or very gently used children's books. Our
students choose two new books in December. One is a gift that they wrap up for someone
special, and the other is for them to keep.
Donate wrapping paper, bows, tape, labels, etc. - we always need it this time of
year.
Ask your friends to help, too
A lot of people are looking for a worthwhile cause to support, and you might be
pleasantly surprised at a friend's eagerness to help the Cabrini-Green Tutoring

Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities
For 44 years, the Cabrini-Green Tutoring Program, Inc. has been dedicated to defining
and responding to children's needs and to creating quality, innovative instructional
programs that are not only educational but boost self-esteem. We accomplish this
through personalized mentoring provided by one-on-one, weekly tutoring sessions.
Additionally, we have interactive, fun programs to stimulate the children's interest
in education, while improving their literacy skills.
Your participation will help us continue to build on our successful program and
implement new educational activities that will better prepare Cabrini-Green children
for the challenges they face today and tomorrow. CGTP is a safe haven for many children
-- a place to form friendships with supporting adults and focus on educational,
cultural and artistic activities.
Tutoring sessions are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:10 p.m. to 7:30
p.m. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the Tutoring Program
and how you can become involved.
